Keeping up with the news

I think it is important to be aware of what is going on in not just our community but our world around us. These are my top 5 news sources I use to keep up with our worlds happenings.

Greensboro News & Record

Today, there is starting to be a decline in the subscriptions to news papers or just generally being read. My family still receives them and are one of our main sources of keeping of with what is going on around our city. Greensboro News & Records covers events, crime, sports, and our community happenings. I enjoy reading it because it often covered my high school and our strong sports teams.

Twitter

Social media has become a convenient way to keep up with the world around us. I usually always have my phone with me and I check twitter several times a day. What's great about Twitter, is that it always has stories about the news around the world. I often learn more about terrorist attacks, weather, and mass shootings as I'm exploring my time line.

Fox 8 News

Fox 8 News focuses on the happenings around North Carolina. My family usually always has this channel on the TV to be aware of what is going on around us. We also use this channel to watch the weather on.

Snap Chat

Another convenient way that I keep up the news is on snapchat On the app, you can subscribe to news "stories" that focus on what's going on around the world. One example was the Stoneman Douglas school shooting. There was so many stories that covered that devastating day, but the stories helped me be able to keep up on updates on what was going on. I am always on snapchat, so it's a quick way to be able to stay in tact with the news.

CNN

CNN is another channel that I view the news on. This is the channel that we view tor learn what's going on in the world, not just North Carolina. I enjoy this channel because I think it is important to be aware of what's going on around us.
