It feels like yesterday that I was moving into my dorm and getting settled into my new home. I never realized how fast first semester would go by. I was so excited to come to High Point and start my new chapter. It truly seemed to be the perfect school for me and after this first semester, I can't see myself anywhere else. I have made so many amazing and supportive friends, joined a great sorority and made good grades. I am so proud of myself for my transition to college and the person I am becoming.
I enjoyed all my classes this semester, some more than others but I learned a lot in each of them. I loved being in small classes because I can have a stronger bond with my classmates and have a good relationship with my professor. My favorite class I took this semester was my first year seminar class. I have never been a history lover but this class gave me a new appreciation for it and has made me more interested in it. By the end of the class it ended up being all girls and the class was so fun and was worth being an 8 a.m. The best part about the class was our professor, Professor Smith. He has been the best teacher that I have ever had. His enthusiasm made class so fun and he truly cares about his students. One day, he came into class saying that he was hungry and let's all go to the bakery to get breakfast, my treat. It was so sweet of him to do that, it just shows the level of appreciation he has for his students. I want to say thank you Professor Smith for all you have done to make my transition to college easier and show what High Point really wants their experience with their professors to be.
As Christmas break goes by, I will spend time relaxing and being with my friends and family. I can't wait for next semester to start and to see what is in store for me. This will be my last post on this website for this class. Thank you for going through my semester with me and learning what has gone on in the class and in my life.
